J2ME:- Java 2 Micro Edition OR Java 2 Mobile Edition
Java is a computer software that was developed by Oracle Corporation in the year 1998. It presents many programs in Java programming. There are different application domains and devices under Java, namely, Java Card, Java ME (Micro Edition), Java SE (Standard Edition), Java EE (Enterprise Edition), etc. Under this computing platform, Java, several codes for mobile devices have been developed under the Java platform, Micro Edition (Java ME). It is now formerly known as Java 2 Micro Edition or Java 2 Mobile Edition (J2ME). It was designed by Suns Microsystems under Oracle Corporation in 2010. The J2ME has been licensed under the GNU General Public License and is released by the name phoneME. The J2ME is a technology allowing the programmers to use Java programming language. It consists of two programming specifications:- Connected, Limited Device Configuration (CLDC) and the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP).
