NDDB:- National Dairy Development Board

NDDB stands for National Dairy Development Board which was set up on 16th July 1965 under an act of Parliament. It is a part of the dairy industry and was founded to spread the success that was achieved by farmers in Gujarat through Amul to the rest of the nation. Its aim was to channelize the skills of the farmers with that of management by professionals to successfully capture the market of milk and it’s products. Its perspective plan was launched in 2010 which aimed at four key areas that were assurance of quality products, enhancement of productivity, the building of institution and national information. It aims at the nation’s social and economic development and the development of rural India. The Board is being created with a view of promotion and finance of producer-owned and controlled organizations and to support them. Its programs aim to strengthen the cooperatives of farmers and support the growth of national policies through the favorable growth of such institutions. It functions of cooperative principles and strategies.
