The full form of OIL stands for Oil India Limited. The Oil India Limited is the second largest hydrocarbon exploration and production Indian public sector company. The operational headquarters are located in Duliajan, Assam, India. The corporate offices are located in Noda in the New – Delhi – NCR region. The OIL was founded in 18th February in the year 1959. Mr. Utpal Bora is the chairman and MD of the company. The company has a revenue of Rs. 12,028 crore. The company’s history begins in Digboi, Assam, in the far east of India in the year 1889 when crude oil was discovered, to its present status as a fully integrated upstream petroleum company. The company revolves around the exploration, development, and production of crude oil and natural gas, also the transportation of crude oil and production of Liquid Petroleum Gas. Under the administrative control of India’s Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, the company is a state-owned Navratna.
