All India Football Federation that was formed in 1948 is the governing body of association football in India. AIFF is one among the founding members of the overseer of football in Asia an Asian Football Confederation. The federation sanctions and conducts all competitive football leagues and tournaments at a national level like Federation Cup, I-League and Indian Super League.
It indirectly manages local competitions with the help of state associations. The AIFF is also responsible for managing the national football team for both men’s and women’s teams. It is also a part of South Asian Football Federation that runs football competitions in South Asia. At present the headquarters of AIFF is located at Dwarka Sub City, Delhi.
The AIFF has men’s national under-15, under-17, under-20, under-23 and national football teams and women’s national under-15, under-17, under-20 and national football teams. It conducted competitions like Indian Super League, I-League, Santhosh Trophy, I-League 2nd Division and Super Cup for men’s and Indian Women’s League and Indian Women’s Football Championship for women.
It conducted Youth League U18, Youth league U-13, Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy (U-16), Nike Premier Cup (U-15) and B.C. Roy Trophy (U-19) for men’s youth and Sub–Junior Girl’s National Football Championship (U-16) and Junior Girl’s National Football Championship (U-19) for women’s youth.
It conducted International competitions like 2018 Intercontinental Cup (India), Champions Cup (Senior Men’s) and AIFF Youth Cup (U-16).
