FARC :- Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia
FARC, abbreviation of Spanish Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (“Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia”). The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC, after the initials in Spanish) are Colombia’s biggest agitator gathering. They were established in 1964 as the furnished wing of the Communist Party and pursue a Marxist-Leninist belief system. Their principle originators were little ranchers and land laborer’s who had joined together to battle against the amazing levels of imbalance in Colombia at the time. While the FARC has some urban gatherings, they have dependably been an overwhelmingly country guerrilla association. The security powers gauge that there are somewhere in the range of 6,000 and 7,000 dynamic warriors inside the positions of the Farc. They think there are another 8,500 regular citizens who make up the Farc’s encouraging group of people. This is down significantly from the evaluated 20,000 dynamic warriors they are accepted to have had around 2002. The revolutionaries are composed in little strategic gatherings that thusly make up bigger battling units which are sorted out in local “alliances”. They are controlled by the Secretariat, a gathering of not as much as twelve best commandants who devise the general system of the Farc. The Farc’s best pioneer is Rodrigo Londono Echeverri, better known by his moniker Timochenko.
