Loss of Biodiversity

As we have seen that biodiversity is reducing today due to some activities, and this loss of biodiversity can be attributed to the influence of human beings on the globe’s ecosystem, human beings have strongly impacted the environment, and have redefine the territory, making use of the species directly, changing the biogeochemical cycles and transferring species from one location to another of the Planet. This lost of biodiversity can be summarized in the following main points:

The change and loss of the habitats have reformed the natural surrounding determines not only the loss of the vegetable species but also reduce in the species of animal associated with them.

Bringing of exotic species and genetically reformed organisms as species coming from a different location, bringing it into a new natural area will lead to various forms of imbalance in the ecological equilibrium.

Pollution caused as a result of human activity affect the natural ecosystem leading to negative, whether direct or indirect, effects that affect the circulation of energy, the chemical and physical constitution of the environment and abundance of the species;

Changing in climate also cause loss of biodiversity as heating of the Earth’s surface affects biodiversity because it endangers all the species that adapted to the cold due to the latitude or the altitude.

Changing in climate also cause loss of biodiversity as heating of the Earth’s surface affects biodiversity because it risks all the species that adapted to the cold due to the latitude or the altitude.

From ecologists research, it is emphasized that habitat loss (typically from the conversion of forests, wetlands, grasslands, and other natural areas to urban and agricultural uses) and invasive species are the major drivers of biodiversity loss, but they acknowledge that changing in climate also become a primary driver. In an environment, species tolerance limits and nutrient cycling processes are adapted to existing temperature and precipitation patterns. Some organism may not be able to cope with environmental changes from global warming. These changes also provide new opportunities for invasive species, which could further contribute to the stresses on species struggling to adapt to changing environmental conditions. The loss of biodiversity has made it difficult for some species of animal to missing and has a strong impact on human activities. All explains point is strongly influenced by the continued growth of the human population and its consumption of natural resources.
