NCFSE:- National Curriculum Framework for Secondary Education
NCFSE that stands for National Curriculum Framework for Secondary Education is one of the four national curriculum frameworks that were published by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in the years 1975, 1988, 2000 and 2005. It was published in the year 2005. It provides the framework or the guidelines for making syllabus, textbooks and teaching practices for the school education programs being run in India. Its main objectives included shifting learning from a rote method, establishing a connection between knowledge and the life outside of school, integrating examination into classroom learning and making it more flexible and enriching the curriculum in a way that it goes beyond the textbooks. It also aimed to make learning joyful without a burden, to develop a child-centered approach, to develop self-reliance in an individual and to inculcate a feeling of unity and democracy in the students. It also provided for guidelines regarding counseling of secondary school students and made it mandatory for all age groups. It comes under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
