RAFC:- Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia
RAFC stands for Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia. It was active from the year 1964 to 2017. However, its dissidents are still active. The ideologies include Marxism–Leninism, Guevarism, Bolivarianism, Left-wing nationalism, Revolutionary socialism, and Foco theory. Its political position is Far-left. It was headquartered at Casa Verde from 1965 to 1990 and at Los Pozos from 1990 to 2001. The areas of operation were concentrated in southern, north-western, south-western and eastern Colombia. It also included incursions to Peru, Venezuela, Panama, Ecuador, and Brazil. There was also a sporadic presence in other Latin American countries, which were predominantly Mexico, Bolivia, and Paraguay. The size was approximately 10,000 people. Its opponents were Colombia’s Right-wing paramilitary groups and the United States. It was well known for employing a variety of military tactics along with more unconventional methods that also included terrorism. It was formed during the Cold War period. It was formed as a Marxist–Leninist peasant force that promoted a political line of anti-imperialism and agrarianism.
