SHAR:- Sriharikota Range
The full form of SHAR stands for Sriharikota Range which is now or currently known as the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SDSC. The Satish Dhawan Space Centre is a rocket launch center. The Satish Dhawan Space Centre is operated by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). The Satish Dhawan Space Centre is located in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. The SHAR, Sriharikota Range was renamed in the year 2002 after ISRO’s former chairman Satish Dhawan. The Satish Dhawan Space Centre was formed in 1st October 1961, 47 years ago. The Satish Dhawan Space Centre is jurisdiction by the Government of India. S. Pandian, which is the current director of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, he took over from P. Kunhikrishnan on 31st of July, 2018. ISRO is the parent agency of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) wanted to develop the technology in the field of space and rockets, satellites so they came up with the Satish Dhawan Space Centre.
