US presidents without college degrees

George Washington – The first U.S. president had no formal college education but was highly self-educated. – 

Andrew Jackson – Did not attend college, though he became a lawyer through apprenticeships and self-study. – 

Martin Van Buren – The 8th president did not attend college but trained as a lawyer by apprenticing under a prominent attorney. – 

Zachary Taylor – A career military officer, Taylor had no formal education beyond basic schooling. – 

Millard Fillmore – Grew up in poverty and never attended college, but worked his way up as a lawyer through self-study. – v

Abraham Lincoln – Self-educated, Lincoln had less than a year of formal schooling but became a successful lawyer. – 

Andrew Johnson – Never attended college and had no formal schooling, learning reading and writing later in life. –
