Jam Sessions: Easy Homemade Recipes

Blueberry jam with lime and vanilla - A dash of lime perfectly complements the sweetness of blueberry. And the creamy floral notes of vanilla extract counters the zesty tang of citrus.

Raspberry jam - Fresh raspberries should be sweet enough, but if they are too tart, just bump up the sugar content. Add a dash of lemon for a fruity balance.

Plum jam - Use the plumpest, ripest plums to make this delightful jam. Besides sugar, try adding a dash of bourbon for a bit of a kick.

Cranberry onion jam - Fresh cranberries, balsamic vinegar, sweet onions. That's about it save for the sugar, sea salt, and ground black pepper.

Gooseberry and ginger jam - A wonderful winter jam idea, gooseberry and ginger jam spread thickly across toast first thing in the morning is guaranteed to kick-start any day.

Fig jam - This soft and sweet autumnal fruit simply melts in your mouth. So imagine what it tastes like made into jam.

Damson jam - Damsons are smaller and less sweet than plums, but are still ideal for making into deliciously rich jams.

Pumpkin jam - A fall delicacy and a Halloween delight, pumpkin jam is made with lemon juice and lemon peel, light brown sugar, and a cinnamon stick for extra flavor.

Dried apricot jam - This delicious conserve is perfect for capturing the full flavor of apricots. Chop them coarsely for a lovely crunchy texture.

Sweet chili jam - Use this jam with cold meats, cheese, and stir-fry dishes. The red peppers, red chilis, and cherry tomatoes really lend themselves to savory dishes.
