Songs That Sampled Famous Films

Guns 'N' Roses, 'Civil War' - This song features the Captain's "failure to communicate" speech from 'Cool Hand Luke.'

Madonna, 'What It Feels Like for a Girl' - The Material Girl's song features a clip of Charlotte Gainsbourg in 'The Cement Garden' talking about how boys think "being a girl is degrading."

Ghostface Killah, 'Assassination Day' - This song samples Gabriel Byrne from 'The Usual Suspects.'

Jay-Z, 'What More Can I Say' - Jay-Z used Russell Crowe's "Are you not entertained?" scene from 'Gladiator' in an effective metaphor for the rapper's verbal annihilation of his rivals.

Mos Def, 'Mathematics' - The bouncy production features a small slice of dialogue from 'Ghostbusters,' in which Harold Ramis says, "What are we talking about here?"

Kid Cudi, 'Immortal' - While most rappers sample drama or action films, Kid Cudi used Adam Sandler's 'Billy Madison.'

Ice Cube, 'Can You Dig It?' - This song samples the hilariously strange "I speak Jive" bit from 1980's 'Airplane!'.

Fun Lovin' Criminals, 'Scooby Snacks' - This eclectic band's song samples the pre-torture scene from Quentin Tarantino's 'Reservoir Dogs.'
